A second teenager has been stabbed just weeks after the community called for a heightened police presence.
The 19 year-old was attacked in Carlton Road, off Higham Hill Road in Walthamstow at around 1pm yesterday.
A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said: "We sent an ambulance and advanced paramedic to the scene and treated a 19 year-old male for stab wounds.
"He was taken to hospital as a priority."
Police have not released any details of the attack.
It is the second time in just over two weeks a man has been stabbed in the street in the Higham Hill area.
On July 24, a 20 year-old Co-Op worker was stabbed in the lower back as he walked home from work in Higham Hill Road at around 11pm.
He suffered a single stab wound and spent the weekend in hospital before being discharged.
A 42 year-old man has been charged in connection with the assault and possessing a bladed article and is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court tomorrow.
