A young entrepreneur is selling homemade loom bands in a bid to raise money and grant the wishes of terminally ill children.

Nine-year-old Talia Salahi, of Manor Road in Chigwell, is making multicoloured rainbow bracelets to raise funds for children’s charity Hopes and Dreams, run by her grandmother Ruth Salahi.

Talia said: “I’ve been making them since last year and I am quite talented at them now, I wanted to raise money for sick children and make their dreams come true.

The schoolgirl has already raised £170 selling the £2 bracelets and has another 15 orders to complete bringing the total so far up to £200.

Grandmother Mrs Salahi said: “What Talia is doing is amazing. I am so proud that she is helping critically and terminally ill children create some wonderful loving memories."
