A 42 year-old man accused of stabbing a supermarket worker is due to appear in court.
Modhiraj Sanghia, of Banbury Road in Walthamstow, is charged with greivous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.
He was arrested on July 24 and charged the following day.
Sanghia appeared at Thames Magistrates Court on July 26 and was remanded in custody to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court today.
Police were called to Higham Hill Road, at the junction with Gloucestor Road, on July 24 at around 11pm to reports of an assault.
A 20 year-old Co-op employee was stabbed in the lower back as he walked home from work.
