A girl from Highams Park is the face of a new school uniform advertising campaign by one of the UK's biggest retailers.

Erin Holmes, four, landed one of six solo roles for the new Marks and Spencers Back to School TV and digital campaign after auditioning through a performing arts company for the first time.

The campaign features children from the beginning of their schooling years all the way through to further education.

Erin beat off hundreds of hopefuls to represent children at reception age and preparing for their first day at primary school.

She said: "I was so excited and very happy to get the part. I never knew it would be so much fun."

The four year-old was put forward by the arts company Make Believe, where Erin is a student at their branch based at Leytonstone School in Colworth Road.

Founder of Make Believe Joel Kern added: "We are all so proud of Erin.

"She has done incredibly well and looks fantastic in the commercial".
