Police are hunting a man who attacked another man after he was believed to have looked at his girlfriend. 

Suspect 154093 is wanted for committing actual bodily harm in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, on July 15 at shortly before 4pm. 

The incident involving the men, both aged in their 30s, happened close to the Post Office branch near Markhouse Road.

Police say CCTV shows the victim being punched in the face and falling to the ground, sustaining cuts and bruises to his face.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and discharged soon after. 

The CCTV image has been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
