A summer holidays workshop has been held to develop childrens literacy skills through the eyes of a classic book.
The Gruffalo workshop at Leytonstone Library in Church Lane was attended by a dozen of children on August 6.
Children explored the famous narrative of a protagonist mouse who takes a walk through the woods and fends off several dangerous animals by explaining his hybrid friend, half grizzly, half buffalo - The Gruffalo.
The hour-long workshop helped children to develop their rhythm and rhyme skills.
