A Leytonstone man is in the running to be named this year’s funniest man in London.
Dave Green, 29, who currently works in a coffee shop, has reached the final of the Comedy Knights Fresh Comedian Award.
Mr Green, of Leytonstone High Road, has performed across the capital with what he describes as "dark surreal one liners".
He added: “The best thing about being a comedian is being able to channel my weirdness into funniness. “My first gig was actually quite pleasant but my second ever gig I died big time.
“My worst gig was performing in a pub in Luton where the audience consisted solely of Luton Town supporters who'd just lost a game. Stuff got thrown.”
The award will be presented by Impractical Jokers star Joel Dommett at The Forge in Camden on September 17.
