Youngsters have been constructing hotels and homes for bees and bugs in preparation for winter.
Children aged five to 11 took part in a Junior Wildlife Rangers day at Chigwell Meadows and Roding Valley Meadows Nature Reserve in Grange Farm Lane today.
The ‘rangers’ learned about ‘minibeasts’ such as insects, bugs and bees and ensured they had accommodation during winter by painting and preparing bricks and pots for the animals to hibernate in.
