A trial date has been set for the trial of five men accused of murdering a Leyton man in Dagenham.

Ashley Latty, 25, died of multiple stab wounds following an altercation between two groups outside The Beaver Centre in Selinas Lane, Dagenham, on May 18.

Detectives have arrested ten people in connection with his death and charged five men with murder.

Nicholas Terralonge, 28, of Leytonstone, was charged with murder on June 20 and is the latest suspect to be held over the fatal stabbing.

Nana Oppong, 34 of Whitechapel, Kestrel Daniel Dyer, 25, of Barking, Daniel Agyeman, 23, of Thornton Heath, were due to enter a plea with Terralonge yesterday at the Old Bailey.

Adam Penny, 23, of Whitechapel was arrested and charged in May but was released with no further action in July.

But the hearing was adjourned to a later date, although the court has set a trial date for February 23 next year.

Three men aged 38, 31, and 30 were arrested and bailed with no further action.

A 24-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and a 22 year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Mr Latty was taken to hospital after police were called to the scene at around 5.35am but was pronounced dead at 7.15am.
