The trial of a man accused of breaching planning laws by allowing a woman to live in an illegal garage has been delayed.
Brian Gage, 58, faces one charge of breaching an enforcement notice after a prosecution brought by Waltham Forest council.
According to the authority, Mr Gage of Dale View Crescent had turned a garage into a single dwelling house with associated fixtures and fittings, in which a woman was living.
LBWF issued a notice to Mr Gage in 2009 to remove the building from the land behind houses in Dale View Crescent and clear the land.
However, he is now being accused of breaching the conditions by allowing a woman to live there between September and October last year.
Mr Gage appeared in court earlier this week but the case was delayed for a management hearing to be held on September 19.
