The modernisation of a Woodford Green hotel is finally complete following a £1.4 renovation.

Oak Hill's The County Hotel has now been re-branded a Best Western Plus, one of only four in the London area.

During the sixth-moth refurbishment, there was a complete overhaul of the hotel's 99 bedrooms, reception area, conference suites and restaurant and is now Wi-Fi friendly throughout.

Its statesman suite, with black and white chessboard flooring can fill up to 250 guests.

General manager Sara Chegwidden said: "We’re extremely proud to unveil a brand new look and feel for the hotel.

"Over the last six months the interior has been completely renovated to include a state-of-the-art events space and welcoming reception area.

"The hotel’s bedrooms and restaurant have also undergone a complete overhaul, creating a bright and stylish hotel that we believe will cater to our customers’ needs.

"We’re delighted to officially join the Best Western group and over the coming months we’ll look to deliver a high standard of service which meets and exceeds the brand’s well-known standards.

"I look forward to welcoming lots of familiar faces and new visitors along to the hotel to see the transformation for themselves."

A wedding fair is planned at the hotel on October 5.
