Painters, sculptors and photographers are preparing for an artistic first in their town.
Former mayor Stephen Pewsey is organising the Loughton Art Trail, which will showcase work by artists from the area.
There will also be events and workshops, such as meet the artist, street chalking, a children’s quiz and a historical art display, taking place in a variety of venues around the town.
Mr Pewsey said: “This is a new event, so we’ll be starting small, but we hope the trail will be fun and inspire everyone to grab cameras, pencils and paintbrushes, and bring out their inner Michelangelo.”
“The Arts Centre, which is part of Lopping Hall, is fast gaining a reputation as an artistic stepping stone; a number of exhibitors have gone on to stage major shows of their work in London.”
The Loughton Arts Trail will take place from September 6 to14.
