A man was rescued after falling onto a flat roof from a window.

Fire and ambulance crews were called to the incident in Leytonstone High Road at 6am on Sunday.

The fire brigade’s rope rescue crew lowered the man down to safety and he was taken to the Royal London Hospital as a priority.

The man, believed to be in his 20s was escorted by an air ambulace doctor after he suffered head injuries.
