A 22-year-old accused of taking a free kick after running onto the pitch during a Premier League game will appear in court today.
Jordan Matthew Dunn, of The Gateway in Dover, Kent, was charged under Section 4 of the Football Offences Act 1991 following an incident at Upton Park.
A man was seen interupting the clash between West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur on August 16 by invading the pitch and striking the ball towards the Spurs goal.
If found guilty, Dunn could face a £5,000 fine and a ten year ban from attending matches.
Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United 1-0 with a late goal from Eric Dier.
