A shoplifter has been caught on camera stealing from a phone shop in Leyton.
The CCTV footage has been released by police in Waltham Forest in a bid to try and identify the thief who stole a £300 phone from Carphone Warehouse at Leyton Mills retail park, in Marshall Road.
He entered the store on August 10 at around 4.20pm and walked around before approaching the Nokia phone display and forcing a Lumia 930 handset from the stand.
The footage has been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
