A woman was taken to hospital after her car crashed into a tree last night.
Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to Coppice Row in Theydon Bois at around 8.35pm following reports of a woman in her 20s trapped in a vehicle.
Officers from Essex Police found a silver Mercedes C220 had struck a tree.
Fire crews from Loughton worked to release the woman for two hours without the use of cutting equipment.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before transferring her to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow with head and neck injuries.
Her injuries are not thought to be serious.
