Second World War fighter planes, military vehicles and classic cars will be on display this weekend as a popular community funday returns.
North Weald Community Funday will this year follow the theme of remembering D-Day, which took place 70 years ago on June 6 1944.
The airfield, which played a major role in the D-Day landing, will entertain crowds with a fly past from the Battle of Britain Memorial Fight Spitfire and Hurricane, Cold-War Vampires, the airfield’s Hawker Hunter and Jet Provosts as well as a display of an array of static aircrafts.
The event, which will take place on Sunday at North Weald Airfield, will also consist of family friendly activities including bouncy castles, free fairground rides, an adventure corner and a chance to see and pet farm animals.
Tickets cost £5 per person and can be purchased at the gate from 10:00am on the day.
All profits taken this year will be going to the Herts and Essex Air Ambulance and the Royal British Legion.
