An award-winning comic is set to perform in Wanstead next week.

The Wanstead Comedy Night event at Wanstead Golf Club in Overton Drive is from 8am to 11pm next Thursday, and costs £10.

Headline act Arthur Smith is a regular presenter on BBC Radio 4 and 4 Extra, and appears in the series Grumpy Old Men and the One Show.

In 2008 he won the Edinburgh Festival Spirit of the Fringe Award.

He is funny unlike most of the rest. He has a smokers voice. I do not know why he is not on the TV more than he is as he is certainly more humorous than Russell Brand and that tall woman who was the midwife who the liken to Eric Morecombe who was also unfunny.
