A proposed £4 million traffic improvement plan will be discussed in a council meeting tonight.
Projects to improve highways, reduce accidents and encourage healthier journeys by foot and bike are set to finalised tonight at 7.15pm in Redbridge Town Hall, in Ilford.
A Local Implementation Plan (LIP) bid for funding to Transport for London (TfL) is expected to be made following the meeting tonight.
The projects include road renewal, bridge strengthening, accident remediation, bus stop accessibility improvements and cycle parking at bus and train stations.
The neighbourhoods and communities service committee meeting will also include a progress report on the £2 million Better Barkingside project.
A discussion is then due to take place on whether to implement a five year plan to protect and enhance conservation areas in Woodford Bridge and Woodford Broadway.
