Trolley forced into manhole after public safety concern
Staff at Epping Underground station have had to use a trolley to cover a potentially hazardous open manhole.
The CATV cable television manhole was reported to station staff at 11.15am by a passenger concerned for the safety of people walking to and from the the station.
The hole, on the corner of Station Road and Bower Hill in Epping, has been reported by Transport for London staff to Essex County Council as an "emergency case".
Essex County Council has been contacted for a comment.
