A man who was shot in the shoulder has been released from hospital.
Woolston Hall in Chigwell was guarded by armed police yesterday after the incident at around 4pm.
Essex Police said they have spoken with a large number of witnesses and will have detectives and forensics experts on site today.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Werrett said: "I would reiterate that all the information we currently have suggests there is no threat to the general public from this incident.
"Specialist search teams will be carrying out a sweep of the location this morning but arrangements have been put in place to make sure that businesses at the location can open as usual.”
The victim, a 36-year-old man from east London, left hospital after receiving treatment for a bullet wound to his shoulder.
Further enquiries will be carried out today.
Anyone with any information is urged to call Loughton CID on 101.
