The passenger of a rubbish truck killed in a crash on the A406 has been named.
Kazys Kaniauskas, 54, from Barking, died after the council bin lorry hit the central barrier on the North Circular near Hall Lane in Chingford on Tuesday morning.
His next of kin have been told.
A post-mortem examination at Walthamstow mortuary gave the cause of death as multiple injuries and an inquest was opened and adjourned on Thursday.
The lorry was owned by council rubbish collection contractors Kier.
A 49-year-old man, the driver of the lorry, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has been released on bail until next month.
No other vehicles were involved.
Police are still investigating the crash and are appealing for witnesses.
