Hundreds of vehicles were stopped during a major policing operation which was rolled out across east London yesterday.
A total of 33 cars were seized and 41 people were arrested for offences including burglary, knife and drug possession and handling stolen goods.
Eight of the arrests were made in Waltham Forest.
Borough police officers were supported by specialist officers from the Met’s Roads Policing Unit, ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) Units, Territorial Support Group and the Dog Section.
