A number of buildings normally closed to the general public threw open their doors over the weekend in Redbridge, showcasing a selection of innovative design and architecture.
The buildings, which included a number of schools, were opened as part of the Open House London festival, a free annual event.
In Redbridge, this included The Temple in Wanstead Park and the Grade II listed Christ Church, in Wanstead Place.
The church, which was built in 1861, is notable for being built at the height of the Gothic revival.
The festival also included the Uphall Primary School nursery in Uphall Road, Ilford, an unusual boat-shaped 1930s building.
Around London, other buildings that opened their doors included 10 Downing Street and a number of scientific and cultural institutions.
