A primary school has unveiled a new long jump pit to inspire the next generation of Olympians.
Hereward Primary School in Colebrook Lane, Loughton will use the pit to help train children for athletic competitions in the summer term.
The work was completed thanks to a government sports grant, which is designed to help schools improve the quality of physical education for children.
Hereward teacher Elizabeth Ladlow said: “We hope to see future Olympians getting their vital first experience in athletics jumping events at our school.”
