An organisation is set to embark on a Halloween hike through what is rumored to be one of the most haunted spots in the UK.

Global Adventure Challenges, founded in 2000, will host this year's 'Fright Hike' in Epping Forest, with proceeds going to charities of the participants' choice.

Fright Hike is a 30km overnight walk which will take place on November 1 and is estimated to take six hours.

The hike will cover areas such as Hangman's Hill, known for its paranormal activity, and will also pass the trail reputed to be the home of the ghost of notorious highwayman Dick Turpin.

The event has 250 spaces and expects to raise a minimum of £35,000.

The event costs £39 per person and participants are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £160.
