Suspect 159282
Police are appealing to the public to help identify a suspected shop burglar.
Suspect 159282 is wanted in connection with trespassing and theft at Poundland in High Street, Walthamstow, at around 1.20pm on August 24.
The man is caught on the store's CCTV entering the staff room through a series of unlocked doors and pocketing a Samsung smartphone valued at £300.
He then exits the store with the phone.
The CCTV image has been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
