A new vicar spoke of her love for Woodford Green after an induction service last week.
Reverend Ola Franklin was inducted by the Bishop of Barking Peter Hill on Tuesday at St Paul’s Woodford Bridge, in Cross Road, Woodford Green.
She said 220 people attended the service, with Redbridge Mayor Cllr Ashley Kissin also in attendance.
Rev Franklin, a former pastoral worker in Walthamstow, was ordained in 2009 and is from Harlow.
The new vicar for St Paul's said: “I saw the advert come up and I jumped at the chance, it was a real opportunity for me.
“I visited and connected with the area, it is a lovely area, very friendly and welcoming, I am excited to get stuck into the job.
“The service on Tuesday was great, it was incredible so many people turned up and I got a really nice reception.”
