The US Ambassdor has invited a team of aspiring artists from Waltham Forest's largest college to unleash their talent at his London residency.
Art and Design students from Waltham Forest College in Forest Road visited Matthew Barzun at Winfield House where he hosted the launch of the new London and New York (LDNY) festival on September 25.
Set in the grounds of Regent's Park was a blank canvass where students from Walthamstow and across London participated in creating the LDNY Graffiti wall.
Mentored by graffiti artist Charley Uzzell-Edwards, otherwise known as 'Pure Evil', students brought to life the theme of two of the world's most bustling cities.
Creative arts curriculum manager Benita Odogwu Atkinson, attended Winfield House with students.
She said: "The students were ecstatic to have been invited to such a prestigious event.
"Above all, it gave them an excellent opportunity to draw inspiration from well-known artists within the industry, as well as the opportunity to display their talent to the wider public."
