A woman was taken to hospital at the weekend after her car hit a tree.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene in Loughton Lane, Theydon Bois, at around 6.30pm on Saturday following reports of a woman in her 50s trapped in a car.
Two fire crews from Loughton and Epping used specialist cutting equipment to release the woman.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone with neck, chest and back injuries.
Her condition is not believed to be serious.
