Road users are being urged to remain vigilant after Epping Forest roads were named as some of the worst for deer-related accidents in the UK.
The Deer Initiative for England and Wales (DI) is asking drivers to be aware during deer rutting season, which began last week, after figures identified up to 75,000 deer-related motor vehicle accidents across the country, resulting in hundreds of human injuries and fatalities, each year.
The Epping to Thornwood B1393 was identified to be one of the top areas for animal collisions between 2008 to 2013.
The Deer Initiative team have urged road users to report any deer-vehicle collisions to the police on 101, who will contact service's in the area who can best help with an injured deer at the roadside.
