Police are appealing to the public for help in identifying a distraction thief who targeted a pensioner at a busy cash machine.
Suspect 159870 is wanted in connection with theft at Barclays Bank in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton.
The incident happened at around 12.30pm on September 15.
He distracted the 74-year-old man as he was using the cash machine and while doing so, took note of his PIN number and stole his bank card.
He then left the bank and withdrew £300 before the victim reported it as stolen.
The CCTV image has been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
