A man and a child were rescued from a second floor flat last night after a fire ripped through the property beneath.
The six-bed property, in Lea Bridge Road, was attended by London Fire Brigade at around 6pm last night.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued the two from an upstairs room.
Two others left the building before the brigade arrived.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
