Teacher Ruth Standing is speaking out in support of the Mini Holland trial.
The Walthamstow resident of five years says she is "proud" of Waltham Forest Council for taking the bold initiative to improve cycling facilities.
She has spent several nights collecting signatures in favour of the £33 million-pound scheme and suggests the trial has "transformed" the space around Orford Road, allowing it to be "reclaimed by the people."
The trial, affecting eight roads, will finish on October 13.
