The trial of two men charged in connection with killing a young father last year is set to begin today.
James O'Driscoll, 45, of Hamlet Hill, Roydon, and Patrick O'Driscoll, 33, of Purkiss Road, Hertford, were charged 10 months after Prasanna ‘Nick’ Arulchelvam, 34, was discovered in the car park of a Costco outlet store in Hartspring Lane, Bushey, with fractured skull and other injuries.
The father-of-one, who lived in Watford, passed away from his injuries weeks later at St Mary’s Hospital, in London.
Patrick was charged with murder and James was charged with manslaughter in March.
Both men pleaded not guilty during a hearing at St Albans Crown Court on June 20.
The O'Dricolls are set to begin their trial, which is expected to last three weeks, at Southwark Crown Court this afternoon.
