An elderly woman had to be cut from her car after a two-vehicle collision at the weekend.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene on Saturday at the junction of Farm Way and Forest Edge in Buckhurst Hill at around 11.20am following reports of a two-vehicle collision and a 71-year-old woman trapped.
Two fire engines from Loughton attended the scene and used cutting equipment to free the woman who was trapped after her car collided with a traffic island at the junction.
She was treated at the scene for minor neck injuries before being taken to Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone for further assessment.
There were no other casualties.
