A high school welcomed 60 students from Germany yesterday.
Epping St Johns High School in Bury Lane, Epping, were visited by staff and pupils of Selma Rosenfeld School in Eppingen, as part of a long-standing link between the two towns.
The 14 to 16-year-old students were given a tour of the school and joined in on lessons before having lunch and being shown around the town in the afternoon.
Headteacher George Yerosimou said: “It was a real pleasure having the students and staff from Selma Rosenfeld School, cementing the long-standing link between the two towns.
“They certainly made an impression on our students, going into lessons and sampling the excellent food provided by our Caterers, Ashlyns.
“Long may the link continue.”
