Two men charged in connection with killing a young father last year will be sentenced today after pleading guilty to manslaughter.
James O'Driscoll, 45, of Hamlet Hill, Roydon, and Patrick O'Driscoll, 33, of Purkiss Road, Hertford, were charged 10 months after Prasanna ‘Nick’ Arulchelvam, 34, was discovered in the car park of a Costco outlet store in Hartspring Lane, Bushey, with fractured skull and other injuries.
The father-of-one, who lived in Watford, passed away from his injuries weeks later at St Mary’s Hospital, in London.
The trial has been taking place at Southwark Crown Court this week, where the pair pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to manslaughter, yesterday.
They also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to steal on May 25 and May 26.
The O’Driscolls will be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court today.
