Staff and residents of a sheltered housing scheme are set to celebrate their 20th anniversary tomorrow.

Honey Tree Court in Fairmeads, Loughton, which opened officially in 1994, will celebrate two decades of care this week by throwing a party.

Staff and residents at the court, which is run by local housing provider Places for People, will be celebrating alongside staff members, Vivian Want and Susan Parkes, who have worked at the scheme since it opened.

They will be joined by David and Sylvia Akerman who were at the official opening and are now residents at the scheme themselves.

Regional Operational Manager at Places for People Jean Curd said: “We wanted to share this anniversary with all the staff and customers and to thank them for all the hard work that has gone into keeping Honey Tree Court running over the last two decades.”
