A 32-year-old man has denied threatening to ‘smash’ betting shop machines.
Samuel Hromei appeared at Thames Magistrates Court this morning accused of threatening to destroy property at William Hill in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton.
The crown prosecutor told the court this morning he is accused of swearing at staff, and making obscene comments after a machine he was playing froze on October 2.
Allegedly he insisted he should have his money back or he would ‘smash the machines’.
Mr Hromei of Lynton Avenue in Collindale denied the charge.
He will appear at Stratford Magistrates Court on December 23 this year.
One bail condition imposed on him was that he is not to enter the Lea Bridge Road bookies.
