A public police meeting will give residents the opportunity to discuss a town's crime and community safety issues this week.

The Police and Crime Commissioner public meeting, in which Essex Police district commander Chief Inspector Denise Morrissey and representatives from the Community Safety Partnership will be present, will discuss concerns regarding the Loughton area, on Wednesday.

The meeting will cover topics such as new local policing plans, crime in the town and community safety issues.

Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex Nick Alston said: "I encourage everyone who lives in Epping Forest district to come along to the meeting and raise the issues that matter to them around crime and policing.

"We’ll also be discussing what the new local policing plans recently announced by the Chief Constable will mean for the area.

"If you care about keeping Epping Forest safe, please come along to the meeting and be part of the debate.”

The meeting will take place at Epping Forest College in Borders Lane, Loughton at 6.30pm.
