Firefighters worked through the night to tackle a large blaze at three warehouses.

The fire, at Eley Industrial Estate, off Meridian Way near the Chingford border with Edmonton, was attended by over 55 firefighters from Chingford, Walthamstow, Edmonton, Finchley, Whitechapel and Enfield. 

Eight engines were called to the scene at just after 9.15pm yesterday and firefighters remained on scene until the early hours of this morning.

At midnight, London Fire Brigade tweeted: "Good progress being made at the #Edmonton warehouse fire, crews likely to remain on site for a few hours." 

There are no reports of an injuries and the cause is being investigated. 

It has not been revealed what the warehouses and adjacent offices was used for.

Speaking at the scene, station manager Jim Morford said: "Crews are working to contain the fire and we are making good progress.

“However, this is likely to be a protracted incident and we will probably be on site for most of the night."

The estate houses a Coca Cola manufacturing plant and Parker Knoll furniture.
