An unemployed man has been fined for possession of class A drugs.
Daniel Khan, 24, was searched by police in Leyton, last month, after being spotted behaving suspiciously in his car.
Police officers were on patrol in Lea Bridge Road on October 7 who they believe ‘switched lanes’ in order to avoid being noticed at around 4am.
Upon being searched Khan was found to have a small bag of cocaine.
Khan of Norfolk Road, Ilford immediately pleaded guilty.
He said: “There were a number of reasons I decided to buy it. I was very stressed, I had a bad week.
“I have been suffering from an illness.
“I am very disappointed in myself. I have been seeing a drugs team and I have had two appointments so far.”
Mr Khan was fined a total of £140 at Thames Magistrates Court this morning.
