The streets of Woodford and Buckhirst Hill turned orange at the weekend in aid of a Halloween-themed fancy-dress sponsored walk.
Haven House Children's Hospice, based in the High Road, Woodford Green, latest family fundraiser 'Pumpkin Plod' saw parents and users of the hospice, plus staff and volunteers, all dressed in orange walk 5m through the leafy suburbs.
In total £7,000 was raised from Sunday's event but the charity is expecting a further £3,000 in sponsored donations.
Children took part in a trick-or-treat lucky dip and face painting whilst Chingford-based dance group RAW kept particpants entertained with a spooky dance routine.
Money raised from the Pumpkin Plod will help to fund services in the hospice’s new Holistic Care Centre including music therapy, therapeutic yoga and parent training sessions.
