Cycle safety measures are to be considered at a forthcoming meeting.
Proposed works, including installing cycle lanes and widening Snaresbrook Road in Wanstead, would start next year.
The works, which run parallel to Eagle Pond, would be due to be completed by 2016.
A report on the proposal will be discussed among other plans for cycling improvements in Redbridge at the council's Neighbourhoods and Communities Service Committee on the evening of November 5.
