Annual services to mark Remembrance will take place across Redbridge this weekend.
Residents and dignitaries’ will fall silent for two minutes to reflect the sacrifices of our service men and women from conflicts past and present.
The first memorial service will take place at 9am on Saturday at Woodford War Memorial in St Mary's Church, High Road, South Woodford.
There will be services on Remembrance Sunday from 10.50am at Ilford War Memorial in Eastern Avenue and then at Wanstead War Memorial in High Street, Wanstead, at 12.30pm.
On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, a remembrance service organised by Fairlop Heritage Group will commence at Fairlop Waters County Park.
An hour later, a plaque in memory of civilians killed in WWI and WWII will be unveiled at Barkingside Cemetery in Longwood Gardens.
Redbridge Mayor councillor Ashley Kissin and deputy mayor councillor Linda Huggett will be attending services across the borough.
