Plans for Ongar Social and Sports Club have been controversial
A meeting to discuss the future of a local sports club has been rearranged.
A parish meeting will now be held on November 13 to discuss Ongar Social and Sports Club in Love Lane.
Ongar Town Council is due to take over management of the club when the lease runs out in February next year.
A public meeting was held last Thursday, but due to a legal technicality, a planned parish poll iwas postponed
No councillors attended the meeting and the council was unable to provide a potential £5,000 for the poll as a notice advertising the meeting was not signed by organisers.
The meeting on November 13 will take place at 7.30pm at Zinc Arts Centre, Ongar.
