A disability charity has hosted a celebratory dinner to thank a supporter for a £1,650 donation.
Vitalise Jubilee Lodge in Grange Farm, Chigwell, held the Halloween feast for marathon runner, Louise Wilkinson, 29, of Clapham, whose parents are supporters of the lodge.
Ms Wilkinson ran the London Marathon in aid of the charity, enabling it to purchase 12 new televisions that were fitted into rooms at the Chigwell lodge this week.
Residents and staff presented Ms Wikinson with flowers and enjoyed a dinner at the lodge, which this year underwent a £8,500 makeover of three of its 33 rooms.
Vitalise Events Manager Lisa Jaskowiak said: “We were completely bowled over by Louise’s generous donation, so holding this party was the least we could do to say thank you.
“Vitalise tries to give its guests exactly the same opportunities as anyone else would expect when on holiday, and these new TVs will enable our guests to relax and watch their favourite TV programmes in the comfort of their own room – something we all like to do.
“So on behalf of all the guests at Jubilee Lodge, thank you Louise.”
