A family business hoping to entice sun seekers transformed its retail space into a Caribbean resort.

Abbotts Travel, in George Lane, South Woodford, hosted its third annual client night on October 30.

With a focus on Jamaica, Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados, Grenada and the British Virgin Islands, staff provided rum on tap and hired professional carnival dancers to entertain visitors and draw in crowds from the high street.

Managing director, Julian Abbott, said: "The success of our Client Nights has been overwhelming.

"The feedback we received from the previous events has been exceptional, and demand for places has increased each time.

"It's a real vindication of the time and effort the team contributes, and shows the attraction of our refurbished offices. We're really excited to welcome new and existing customers."

Up to eleven representatives from tourism companies shared their knowledge and love of the islands before a prize draw was held and each guest departed with a gift.

Abbotts Travel, said to be the oldest surviving business in George Lane, will hold its next client night in April 2015.
