Three teenagers have been bailed again after being arrested on suspicion of biting and stabbing an off-duty police officer.
The 38-year-old man was found stabbed in the arm and with human bite marks on his body.
He was attacked after he intervened when he saw people trying to start a fire on a football pitch on Wanstead Flats at 4.14pm on September 15.
Two teenage girls, aged 13 and 16, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Later a 13-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of being involved in the incident.
A number of dog-walkers told the Guardian the day after the incident that they did not feel safe in the area, and they had seen teenagers setting fire to the grass before.
The three teenagers were bailed and returned to an east London police station on October 31.
After interviews the teenagers have been bailed again to return in early December.
